Mindfulness- Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)

"Like it or not, this moment is all we really have to work with".
~Jon Kabat-Zinn

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) practices have become a standard of care in hospital and mental health settings around the world. Rooted in Buddhist traditions, MBSR is an elegant and accessible practice that creates a strong foundation for emotional growth and awareness to emerge. From this state of awareness, compassion for self and others can be more frequently and directly experienced. This allows for a gentle and open approach to cognitive observation and exploration, as well as desired behavioral changes.
Neuroimaging and biofeedback results consistently show mindful practices including mindful meditation, movement and cognitive observation and awareness, reduces the physiological stress response in the brain and body.
