EFT utilizes self-tapping on specific acupressure/energy points throughout the body, paired with cognitive activities, to shift the brain's electrochemistry thus relieving emotional, physical and cognitive distress. The body is comprised of energy centers and pathways that affect mood, thoughts, health and physical well-being. EFT falls under the umbrella of "Energy Psychology" which blends ancient Eastern disciplines such as acupuncture, yoga and qi gong, with innovative, science and psychology.
